Inventory of the Shard Room, Consolidation of Wooden Panels
In July and August, the Broken Collection Project was supported by two students (former and active) from the Institute of Conservation, Vienna.
Together, the extensive inventory of the Shard Room was documented shard by shard. In the process, many new objects could be identified and reassembled.
Parallel to the work on the shards, the paint layers of the Neoclassical wooden panels were consolidated to preserve their beauty for future visitors of the museum.
